Ranger Key Quality

While I was making that fake image of Ranger Keys for Happy Meal, I noticed some difference in the Hurricane Blue Key and then in other Keys as well. On the Hurricanger episodes of Gokaiger, the legs and arms of the Hurricanger keys are one solid color. Hurricane Blue has no skirt. But I remember in a magazine scan early on when Gokaiger started....

The keys above and other ones are much more detailed. If you notice, the Hurricane keys have grey arms and Hurricane Blue has skirt and legs. AbareBlue has triangles everywhere. PteraRanger has diamonds on her cuffs. GingaGreen has the bite marks on his cuffs.

In the Gaspon Series 6, the Hurricanger have colored arms and legs, no grey. The Magiranger girls have no white legs!

These are official keys in Super-Sentai.net that look just like the ones used on the show.

Gingaman cuffs have no bite marks.

Zyuranger cuffs have no diamonds (teeth).

Megaranger have no colors on the white stripe.

Abaranger keys have no triangles. hese are official keys in Super-Sentai.net.

These are the keys I use for Rangercentral.com (Super Sentai section), and these are from TV-Asahi, they look just like the ones from super-sentai.net, lack detail, compared to the Magazine ones.
So where those detailed keys only made for the magazine and not for the show?

Gao White Gasphon key and the key teeth from GaoWhite key in Episode 3 of Gokaiger. As you can see the Gasphon key has a circle and half circle on bottom and top has teeth near the figure and one long one near the end. The show has one circle and two little teeth and one long tooth on the other side. They may have default key teeth, because I can't figure they made the 199 keys before the show and settled on designs.

AND....

This is the difference between deluxe, candy toy and Gashapon keys. The above picture is not mine, found it online.

Miss America Ranger Key highly sought

When I first heard the Miss America key was coming out with Gasphon Series 4, I thought it was silly. I'm personally not crazy about the suits of Battle Fever J but once I saw the key, I found it fascinaitng as they actually sculpted her hair and all unique it looks. But it actually turns out to be a rare key because they only sell it with the whole set. It is now highly sought. It is not Marvel related, as Marvel comics had some hand in her creation but because very little are being made. A bid online (Yahoo! Japan) is currently going for 910 yen (12 bidders so far), that is about $11.73 in American and Canadian currency and 7.40 pounds (UK). It ends on the 15th of September in Japan. Now why would anyone want a key with a horrid human face and peach 'skin' legs? Because of its cheesy-ness and also, there is not much Pink keys right now, soon but maybe not soon enough.

Chichoc of Rangerboard says:
"So the Gaoranger set costs 1,7K Yen (12 keys) without the "rare key", in this case Miss America, the complete set costs 3,1K (13 keys). I was willing to buy the Gaoranger set, but I also wanted MissAmerica and it bothers me to pay almost double for one single key..."

I usually get a key for 200 to 400 yen and I bid with Celga, they do the bid with Japan and with shipping and their fees, for about one key it adds up to around (more or less) 13 bucks (I say more or less because it is better to ship a bunch of things at once and I haven't asked to ship just yet). So if tried bidding for this one, it might cost me 22 bucks.

Ranger Key Gasphon Keys Series 4 Out Soon

I was searching the web for stageshow pics and as usual, I found something else. I found new pics of Series 4 Gasphon keys. The links are below the pics, the first picture is from Aug 11, 2011; and the second link, I am not sure when it will be available. I've been waiting for the other Series to come out. I really want some of the other keys like MagiMother, Hime Shinken Red, etc.

Ninja Red DX Ranger Key/Custom Ranger Keys

ALL PICTURES BELOW ARE NOT MINE AND I DID NOT MAKE ANYTHING BELOW AND I DO NOT KNOW HOW THE PEOPLE THAT DID THEM DID WHAT THEY DID.
At the recent toy fair, we saw the last set of deluxe Ranger Keys of Red Rangers that included all that are left.. except for Ninja Red.

Ninja Red is included in Gashapon Keys Set 3. We will see, I mean I would guess they will release it in a special way.

UPDATE---the Deluxe NinjaRed key comes with the treasure chest.

Yahoo! Japan bidding site has these cartons that fits the Ranger Keys to save as an album but I don't know if Bandai made these or not.

Gokai Red has the most keys with 10: Series 1, Series EX, Series 3, Series 5, and Series 7 of Gashapon and one Candy Toy, the Mobirates DX key, the shiny metallic one, TV-kun special and Gokaiger theme CD one. Gokai Silver follows him with 6 keys: Series 2, Series 4, Series 6, Series 7, Candy Toy and Gokai Cellular DX. Gokai Blue has 5: Gashapon Series 1, Series 7, Gokai Gun, shiny metallic one and Candy Toy. Gokai Green has 5: Gashapon Series 1, Series 7, Gokai Buckle, shiny metallic one and Candy Toy. Go-On Red has 5: Mobirates, DX Set 06, Gashapon Series 3, 6 and Candy Toy Series 3. Gao Red has 4: Series 1, Series EX, Series 4 and DX Set 1. Deka Red has 4: Series 1, Series EX, Series 5, Series 1 Candy Toy and DX Set 1. Gosei Red has 4: TV-Kun, DX Set 04, DX Set 08 and Series EX Gashapon. Magi Red has 4: Gashapon Series 1, Series EX, DX Set 1 and Candy Toy Set 1. Aka Ranger has 4: DX Set 03, Gashapon Series 3, Candy Toy Series 3 and Tv-Kun. Tyranno Ranger has 4: Shiny Metallic special, DX Set 04, Gashapon Series 2 and Candy Toy Series 2.

Those that don't have any announced Ranger Key (Deluxe, Gashapon or Candy Toy otherwise) as of yet are:
Clover King, Big One, Denziman (except Red), Goggle V (Except Red), Dynaman (Except Red), Bioman (Except Red), Changeman (Except Red), Flashman (Except Red), Maskman (Except Red), Liveman (Except Red), Turboranger (Except Red), Fiveman (Except Red), Jetman (Except Red), Zyuranger (Except Red & Green), Dairanger (Except Red & White), Ninjaman (Except Red), Ohranger (Except Red), Carranger & Signalman (Except Red), Megaranger (Except Red & Silver), Gingaman (Except Red & Kuro Kishi), GoGoV (Except Red), Timeranger (Except both Reds), Abaranger (Except Red & Killer), Boukenger (Red & Silver), DekaSwan, Rio and Zuuban. I am sure they might release Signalman, Deka Swan, Rio and Zuuban in Gashapon but who knows.

GRNRNGR.COM'S RANGER KEY CHECK LIST

The following websites are all in Japanese and not in English. Sounds silly to say it like that but some people that read this blog may need to be said like that.

People have customized their Ranger Keys to fit a real key, its not easy because the key has to fit it. They had to take their Ranger Key apart and take out the screws and install the real key. Above key is Ki Ranger key and I found that from this site:
http://shop.plaza.rakuten.co.jp/mazken/diary/detail/201105310001/

And people have made their own customized Ranger Keys to look like Kamen Riders...

And virtually anything else apparently.

UPDATED 7/8/2011

It seems Ninja Red is part of the special deluxe set and I suppose it just didn't appear (or wasn't seen) in the toy show.
