My renditions of Gokaiger Gold Modes

Here are my manipulations, unfortunately there are only 15 spots, so  I had pick whichever images were available or at the most, match up the team to the original was. These images are meant to look crappy to not be mistaken to be real. Some people won't be happy with the helmets I picked.

With Red, I decided to do PR only teams to thinking if it became Power Rangers, if they make a Battlizer.

My Crazy Idea for Future Gokaiger McDonalds

In response to the quality of the McDonalds Toys of Power Rangers Samurai, I was thinking of an impossible idea. Impossible because it might not happen because of the quality and the amount of toys. They did recently have 16 Smurf toys. Recently they have toys split into girls and boys, 8 each. If Gokaiger gets adapted into Power Rangers, I don't think this would happen. I thought this would just be fun to do. I did the six Pirates and tried to do one key per team, which was hard. I also tried to make the keys simple as possible. Oh the thing is that they are key chains.

For the Titanium Ranger, I used a fan made key I didn't make. I wanted to use a Gold Ranger from RPM or Samurai, but I already had RPM Silver and female Red Samurai Ranger. Some key grooves are the real ones from the Deluxe or Gasphon Keys, some I reused from another one, so they aren't all accurate. Some I just pasted the logo on a key I changed the color to. For example, the Pink MMPR key, I used Miss America's Key.


Here are the ones I wanted to use but traded for other colors.


I just had fun doing this! Someone else made the logo, I did not.

Mythical Destiny - Director's Commentary

You don't have to listen to my commentary, but I love commentaries and have listened to a lot of them. I know not a lot of people like commentaries. Also wanted to say that the reason Larry (Green) is called Larry is because it was his personal request since he never heard of a Ranger name like that. He love Super Sentai and especially the monsters. Raquel (Pink) wasn't that into PR but now loves being a Power Ranger, she kept her jacket. Alexis (Yellow) was indifferent but seen the movies before as a kid. Sean (Red) was a fan since a kid, he has seen MMPR to Lightspeed and knows of SPD. Peter (Blue) didn't really know much but remember MMPR and imitated Jason in the dub. Johnny (Vorous) knows a lot of PR, mostly Saban era and knows some Sentai. In fact, he was going to be a Bulk-like character.

This is the story (similar to Shinkenger) where 5 youngsters have destiny to fulfill because their families fought and they trained too. Set in 2005. Tyson (Red) doesn't think he needs the help and Larry (Green) doesn't want to do it. Marvin, their tech guy, sets out to collect all five of them.



I know some scenes you cant hear what they are saying, some scenes blurry, some don't match lighting (one bright, one dark) and some sound effects are wrong places. No time to reshoot and we all did this for free in our spare time. There is a reason it is amateur! And yes, I know it's short. I'll be releasing a Director's Commentary soon!

Mythical Destiny Online August 31st

Finally finished with my fan film Mythical Destiny. It took 2 years and it's not perfect and there are lots of things I wish I could fix. It is what it is, no excuses. Have a laugh. This was much harder than I originally thought. I shot this in the span of two summers, I didn't shoot anything at all during fall, winter or spring because of work, family problems and scheduling. All that could go wrong went wrong, my camera broke down (that's why some scenes are blurry--I did get a new camera), I got a mono microphone so some of the sound is off, some things you can't understand what they are saying, two people moved away and I had to re-cast one of the Rangers, so all the mistakes I'm using to go along with the comedy effect.

It's a comedy hands down. Anywayz, I'm going to have a big premiere with my friends on August 30th and it will be online on the YouTube channel August 31st and I will later post it here on Henshin Grid. The 30th I will have a big premiere with my friends with a fake red carpet in a big university auditorium and will take pictures and post them up here.

Frankly, the latter three results were unexpected to me. No offense if my following opinions about the results are...well offensive against your votes. Well, both Skull posts are different from what I expected, although is having him appear in samurai for one or two episodes better than a whole season? But what I find interesting is how much you want Justin to be Gosei Red more than Gokai Red. Honestly, getting him to be the prior would be harder to write than the latter. But what is even more interesting, is that you want him to not appear at all, rather than be gokaired.

It just so happens that Blake, Jason and I, are working on a peliminary script to propose to saban. We are formulating it carefully to get around all the Cons of adapting the season, particularly canon and having footage with the 34 teams. It started with having Blake be the red ranger (which is the jumping off point in the brain-storm).

While trying to work on a general idea of what the main cast would be like, and thought not only should Skull come back, but also mix things up by having him be a ranger, because not only is green perfect for his character, but also Skull kinda deserved it.

We didn't have anything in mind for Cyberon (Barizorg), but after watching a parody video made by Jason Chan, I thought it would be cool if he came back, only to find that it was a perfect saban-esque idea to have cyber-cam be the adaptation for Sid (barizorg's human form). needless to say, he accepted.

What however was in our original brainstorm, is have an actor/actress of an old-school villain to come back as a new villain. It was obvious we were all thinking of Goodson as Insarn. After some time waiting for an answer, we are proud to say that as of thursday, we got our actress for Insarn.
We are still in a "fan-fic" phase, but are actually making some progress, and are confident it would pull through. I thank you for your moral support, but please don't send tag requests on face book, because we are not look for audition canditates until after the proposal.

lastly, in case if there's no free wifi in Israel, I would like to give props to Lavender Ranger for the awesome patriotic banner....

Last Day of OOO contest

"KAMEN RIDER OOO: CREATE YOUR OWN COMBO CONTEST" important notice.

There are two important things that have come to my attention lately:

First of all, it's Wednesday, and that meens that you only have 10 days left to submit your entry. I suggest you start drawing if you haven't started doing so already; which brings me to the second thing.

A deviant art user sent me an entry by e-mail because he can't figure out a way to send it to me via D.A. With some checking, I see his/her point. So here is my solution.

at the front page of my (and other peoples) diviantart account, there should be a section on the right side where other users can write comments on my front page. if you have your entry already deviated, then send me a link for it on my Wall (you might need to add me to diviant watch). If this doesn't work, then just send it via e-mail. Submission description details still apply the same way.

Kamen Rider OOO: Create Your Own Combo Contest!

Hey guys, henshin0 here with my first official post, in no better day than my birthday. Since I'm a new writter here, I want to get to know the frequent visitors a bit better; and what better way than an art contest. With a new and highly anticipated combo to appear next week, and at least two more on the way, people will be inspired to make loads of fan art, so why not show off yours! make your own ooo combo and send it here. here's what you do.

Via any visual medium (i.e. pencil, paint, crayon, ms paint, etc) draw a picture OOO using your combo, with the three core medals used to make it. I'm not expecting profesional Bottacelli style drawing, but don't make a simple stick puppet, for this is a test of creativity, and therefore requires clear detail of the medals and the circle on his chest. further more, in the description of your submission should include combo name, color scheme, animal theme, each medal used, their abilities, name for a greeed who would "want them back", and a title for a song for this form (i.e. Gatakiriba--"gotta keep it real").

Afterwards, out of those 10, Lavender Ranger will pick the top 5, and I'll post them up with a picture of a yummy that their greed's would summon. then, those five will be put up on a poll, where you, the fans will decide the winner!

That winner will decide what core medals I will use for the first ever ALL PLANT COMBO, WITH ITS OWN GREEED AND YUMMY!

I know I might have colored some items wrong. I tried touching it up with the computer. If you think the coloring is bad, you should have seen it before, much improved. All of these except for Aka Red and Ninjaman are confirmed to appear in the Gokaiger movie. And I also realize I lost Mele’s left arm and Wolzard’s right arm. Lots of the posing were inspired by Rangerstrike card illustrations and coloring book pages. Mele and Rio were from Gekiranger coloring book; Magna Defender from Lost Galaxy coloring book; DekaSwan, DekaMaster, Wolzard, MagiMother, and AkaRed were from Rangerstrike cards; poses for Ninjaman, Signalman, Shinken Red, and Zuuban were inspired by real pictures.

Gokai Lavender: My Fan Fiction Comic #3

My possible last comic. I might do some more later. This one is much longer as it explains her background. Turns out Gokai Lavender is the last hero in the future, some time in the 41st Century.

The 'Universal Morphin Grid' here is reasonable for both Super Sentai and Power Ranger powers. As Lavender says, it has gone by different names and it is the source of all the powers and incarnations from every dimension.

The reason the Spirit Ranger and Paleomax Ranger Keys exist here is because she was given keys from other dimensions and realities.

The wave the portal caused when it closed made the Gokaiger forget about Lavender. When she returns, the Zangyack didn't attack and didn't exist in her time.

Due to popular demand and that I liked the response, I decided to continue. I bought some more markers and went deeper with it.

I can't believe I did this, it's beautiful.

The monster of the day: Janark. I still haven't figured out the pattern of the Zanyack monsters, I decided to do something similar to the past three monsters and also attentive to his color blindness for his color scheme.

I decided to do the Pink Rangers in different shades in order to play with the markers I got.

Lai Choi San is a real life pirate, I just picked a name as a homage. To be continued!!!

Gokai Lavender: My Fan Fiction Comic

I've been planning this for a while and decided to sit down and draw it. This is my character Gokai Lavender (ゴーカイラベンダー), a mysterious Gokaiger that has keys that the others simply do not have. We'll see if there will be actual Ranger Keys on the past heroes portrayed below (DekaBright, MagiMother, DekaSwan, etc.) in the actual series, but I decided to play with a little. Yes, I know I draw like a kid and write worse. I was going to make her guns another color other than red, but I forgot and was already coring them in red. Also her Gokai symbol is different, it has a mouth too, in homage to the Real Ghostbusters ghost symbol.

I know someone will ask me about my fan film, this is all I will say about it, it is not finished filming and most likely will try this summer when I have free time. I'll let you guys know when there is any new developments.

Custom Ranger Keys?

It is still early but it seems people have already done custom Ranger Keys.

But I am wondering if anyone will do custom keys of the Power Rangers that have no Japanese counterpart like the Titanium Ranger, Shark Ranger, Bat Ranger and Elephant Rangers? And when Gokaiger is adapted (most likely in 2014) will Bandai America make the keys? It would be cool but it really is early to be speculating on this stuff. I just think it is fun. Also, most likely if the Mobirates is re-made into a morpher, it will most likely be a slimmer smaller version and only carry one key (just like the Rev and Throttle Morphers only had one Engine Cell and the Spin Sword only has the Fire Disc).
